MONDAY

Reindeer safari at 10.00 a.m

After dressing we start our safari to Joiku’s hut. There we get to know to reindeer economy and learn how to drive reindeer. Also you will get a change to drive reindeer driving license. After reindeer driving we will have a coffee in Joiku’s hut.

Evening safari at 8.00 p.m

We will drive on marked trails nearby fells. If we are lucky and we have proper weather we have a chance to see aurora borealis. During the safari we will have a break with hot berry juice.

TUESDAY

Day safari at 11.00 a.m

After getting our equipment we will drive to the hills nearby village. We will see beautiful sceneries and every now and then we pull over and take some pictures and just enjoy the landscape. We will have an open fire lunch and after that we will return to the hotel.

Snowmobile safari and Ice fishing at 11.00 a.m
We will drive with snowmobile to a little wilderness forest lake. There we will bore holes through the ice and start to try to catch some fish. In the forest we will enjoy a campfire snack.

After getting our equipment we will drive to Rainbow’s end. There we will first have a cup of coffee and after that we will have a presentation of Saariselkä area’s geologic history and of Lapland’s gold history.

On this safari, we will drive to Kuukkelilampi. On the way we will see treeless hills and peaceful forest. 
After about 1 hour driving we will arrive to Kuukkelilampi where we will have a coffee and pancake. After coffee we will return to the hotel by another way.
